Rachel is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) with a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah and a certificate in Women’s Health. Her background includes specialized training in the many dimensions of women’s health, as well as experience supporting individuals of all genders, ages, and backgrounds through various mental health challenges.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University and spent ten years working closely with teenagers with learning disorders. During her master’s program, she had the privilege of supporting individuals across the lifespan—from young children to older adults—and developed a strong focus on helping children and families navigate behavioral challenges, trauma, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, grief, and other life transitions.
In therapy, Rachel integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed practices, Family and Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Recognizing that each person’s journey is unique, she tailors her approach to meet individual needs and goals.
As a therapist, Rachel is positive and supportive, creating a safe space for healing, growth, and connection. Her goal is to empower clients to become the best versions of themselves while fostering stronger, healthier relationships within their families, friendships, and communities.
