Imagine feeling stuck in patterns you can’t fully explain—overwhelmed by emotions, reactions, or beliefs that don’t quite make sense, even to you. It can feel frustrating, isolating, and exhausting. At the same time, there’s often a part of you that knows something needs to shift—you want clarity, healing, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself.
Meet Kim Christensen, a Certified Social Worker (CSW), with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Utah. She provides a trauma-informed, compassionate, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. She shows up as a real person—honest, grounded, and deeply respectful of your unique story. She's not here to fix you or push you into a mold that doesn’t fit. Instead, Kim works alongside you to create a space where all parts of you are welcome.
Her approach is rooted in a strong belief in your capacity to heal. Kim uses a blend of EMDR, somatic therapy, sand tray, and Polyvagal Theory to support deeper processing and nervous system regulation. She uses a person-centered and systems-based approach, meaning she considers the full context of your life—your relationships, environment, and lived experiences—while creating a space that feels safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental.
Kim has experience supporting individuals and families through complex life challenges, and that work has shaped her deep respect for resilience and the courage it takes to seek support. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, relationship concerns, and the healing of past wounds.
Outside of her work, Kim has been married for over 25 years and is the proud parent of two adult children. She shares her home with four dogs and a cat, and she finds peace and grounding in the outdoors—especially hiking, climbing, and mountain biking.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and you don’t have to come in with everything figured out. If you’re ready to begin—or even just considering it—Kim would be honored to walk alongside you.
