Hello! My name is Andrea Boyd. I have been a dedicated therapist since 2011, bringing over a decade of experience and a wealth of knowledge to my practice. I hold dual master’s degrees in Addictions Counseling and Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. My commitment to professional growth is reflected in my achievement of associate credentials in 2015 and becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2020.
My approach to therapy is both compassionate and evidence-based. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which allows me to support individuals navigating complex emotional and behavioral issues. Additionally, my specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) enables me to offer innovative treatments for trauma, depression, and other mental health challenges.
I have extensive experience in grief counseling and am particularly passionate about helping individuals cope with perinatal loss and infertility. I understand the profound emotional toll these experiences can take and provide a safe, nurturing space for clients to process their grief, develop resilience, and find healing. I also work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, tailoring my approach to meet each client's unique needs.
My clinical philosophy is grounded in creating a trusting, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. By integrating trauma-informed care with individualized treatment plans, I aim to help clients build inner strength and reclaim a sense of peace and purpose in their lives. I strive to foster personal growth, self-compassion, and meaningful change in every client I work with.
