I am an eclectic therapist, drawing on and using a flexible and multifaceted approach to therapy that guides in identifying the most effective methods to address each individual's varying needs, including diagnosis, strengths, and goals. I believe that on a foundation built with CBT, DBT, and psychoeducation modalities, clients will gain the tools to begin healing, remove barriers, and gain a life of empowerment. I am certified in DBT and am also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. I have been trained in EMDR, ERP, and Prolonged Exposure therapies, helping those with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, specific phobias, grief, and addiction to heal through these difficulties. For over 10 years, I have supported individuals from various walks of life, ages, faiths, cultures, and genders. I understand the unique culture of military life.
I enjoy learning who my clients are and sharing a healing journey with them. I empathetically facilitate this journey and enjoy seeing their discovery of something they didn't know they were capable of. My own life has been a journey of discovery and healing, adding extensive and invaluable life experience to my formal education. One of my greatest gifts is to hold a space of empathy with my clients while holding the professional boundaries to not get in their way.
I received my Master's Degree from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Families and Children and a sub-concentration in Military Social Work. I was awarded the Utah Department of Corrections Institutional Programming Division Challenge Coin and UDC Certificate of Appreciation. I am the author and co-author of 'Breakthrough Success with Kristie Jensen' published in 2021 by Success Publishing.
