I specialize in treatment for children and adults who are dealing with difficult life events such as loss, divorce, depression and anxiety. I am passionate about working with people who are trying to make sense of painful patterns in their lives. Anxiety, depression, anger, relationship conflict, grief, adjustment, and poor performance are just a few of the difficulties we face in our lives. All of us need the support of others to help navigate the multitude of challenges we experience.

I have been a licensed counselor for over thirty years. I have experience across a variety of treatment settings which include: private practice, and mental health, adolescent residential programs, community based services, EAP services and crisis intervention. I have a Master’s degree in Psychology and am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Because research shows that unhealthy relationships can cause both emotional and physical stress, and that healthy relationships can enhance and improve overall well-being, I offer relationship counseling, family counseling, and individual counseling for anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I also offer play therapy for children. I am eclectic and use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Reality Based, and psycho-education to individuals ages 3 and up.

I believe that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs and attitudes then they are free to experience change. My strengths-based approach is holistic, eclectic and guided by the needs of the individual.
