Becky Wierman
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Washington, with a clinical master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience working with adolescents, families, and individuals in a variety of therapeutic settings. My approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing from diverse modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Existential Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I believe in a holistic and personalized approach, blending evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological effects of trauma, life transitions, and the everyday challenges we face.
At the core of my work is the commitment to building a strong therapeutic relationship through open, honest, and trusting communication. My style tends to be direct and transparent, balancing insight and guidance with compassion and a bit of humor when appropriate. I believe in the power of creating a nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear. Together, we will work to find meaning, cultivate inner peace, and help you develop a deeper understanding of your personal journey. My goal is to support you in embracing your strengths and moving toward lasting growth and healing.
