My primary approach is seeing each client as a unique individual with intrinsic value, and with the capacity for self-healing. I am committed to helping clients feel safe, heard, seen, and valued. I also understand that seeking therapy is a difficult and sometimes scary decision, and I am eager to meet clients wherever they are in their healing process. I believe that every person is the expert in their own life and the role of therapy is to support and build on someone’s personal strengths while providing a safe place to dive deeper into self-understanding and ultimately achieve healing.
My clinical experience has been gained in a wide variety of settings including residential and inpatient treatment centers, in-home settings, as well as schools and outpatient care. These experiences have taught me that no two people are the same, and that mental health care should be specially tailored to support the specific personal challenges someone is facing in any phase of life. Because each therapeutic process is as unique as the person I’m serving, I help my clients through a variety of approaches. I’ve been trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and developmental trauma. I also have a passion and commitment to my own continued learning and training in our ever-evolving field.
I’d love to talk with you and answer any questions you might have about what you’re needing and how I can help support you in living a healthier and more fulfilled life.
